We commit to ensuring staff members are trained in all Core Competencies (First-Aid, Food Handlers, Understanding and Managing Aggressive Behaviors [UMAB], Medication Awareness, Fire Safety and IPP). All training provided is paid for by New Vision, including the hourly wages during training. This is an investment we commit to.

Our southernmost communities have been identified as those lacking the infrastructure needed to support persons with disabilities. As such, we have expanded our operations to include DSP Small Options Homes and Independent Living Supports in Yarmouth and Shelburne. We will next be focusing on Digby in 2025-2027.
