What is the difference between RRW/CSW and a CCA?

A Community Support Worker (RRW/CSW) helps people facing challenges like disabilities, mental health issues, or social isolation. They offer practical and emotional support to help people overcome obstacles. 

  • Provide personal care assistance

  • Help with activities of daily living

  • Assist clients and their families

  • Promote independence in the community, home, or group residence

  • Help clients deal with personal and social problems

  • Set up and manage social assistance programs and community services

A Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) helps people with daily tasks and personal care. They work in a variety of settings, including homes and long-term care facilities. 

  • Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting

  • Help with meal preparation and nutrition

  • Monitor medications

  • Help with communication

  • Provide end-of-life care

  • Help clients participate in social and recreational activities
